Paraldehyde physical and chemical properties
Appearance: colorless oily liquid.
Odor: with a pleasant spicy odor. 1% solution has a sweet flavor and the solvent-like aroma of ethyl, with the post-pyrazine-like rhyme, and a mold rot gas and a little pink fragrant flavor and fragrant jam tune.
Density: relative density (water = 1) 0.99; the relative density (Air = 1) 4.55

With dilute hydrochloric acid a total of heat or by adding a few drops of sulfuric acid that is broken down into acetaldehyde.
Paraldehyde use
Paraldehyde easily broken down into acetaldehyde, acetaldehyde can be used as a stable form of acetaldehyde to facilitate the storage and transportation.
Used as a solvent, used in organic synthesis, rubber accelerator and antioxidant.
For pesticides, Teucrium, pharmaceutical, paint industries.
